Interinstitutional research networks

Interinstitutional research networks serve to promote cooperation with other universities and research institutions. At the University of Vienna, all activities of the interinstitutional research networks (including staff appointments and third-party funding) are carried out through the faculties and centers of the scientists involved in the interinstitutional research networks. Ideally, the interinstitutional networks should be financed equally by the participating institutions. Interinstitutional research networks are established by the Rectorate together with the other participating partner organizations for a limited period of time and are regularly evaluated jointly.
